The 2026 Audi A6 Avant Looks Even Better Than We’d Hoped

The digital ink wasn’t even dry on Audi’s announcement that the new A6 Avant was coming on March 4 before the car leaked. At least, a vehicle that certainly appears to be the A6 Avant has appeared in online videos. It matches up with Audi’s highly-concealed teaser image, and it shows a new model that looks a whole lot like the smaller Audi A5.

Two short clips posted by the account KondorCars to YouTube appear to show the A6 Avant completely uncovered. The revolving images and zoom-in details look like something Audi would have prepared for one of its consumer websites. Here’s the first clip, with the other further down.
A6 Avant Leaked Three Days Before Official Teaser

The clips were actually posted three days ago, meaning that they were uploaded before Audi publicly announced the reveal date for the A6 Avant. Going up before Audi’s announcement and teaser means it wasn’t the work of a very fast digital artist and renderer taking the teaser and running. This one was ready to go, lending credibility to the clips and suggesting that what you’re seeing is the real thing.

Then again, it’s not exactly hard to anticipate what Audi is doing. Its models tend to have a very cohesive styling language. Scale it up for the big cars, Xerox it down for the small ones. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course; it’s just a little predictable.
Leaked Clips Showcase New Tech Features

The posts show some of the features of the new model, not just the design. Features like LED lighting signatures that you can alter and activate from the car’s infotainment system as well as a hands-free tailgate, the latest virtual cockpit dash, and a new electrochromic tinting roof instead of a traditional opening moonroof.
Audi’s recent badge flip-flopping means that this is the A6 once again after the model had been set to be named A7. It’s the A6 TFSI, meaning it has gas power. An A6 e-tron EV has already been revealed, and, yes, it too will come with an Avant station wagon version. What we’re waiting for now is news of a new RS6.

An Even Bigger, More Luxurious Audi Is Coming Soon

Audi’s biggest SUV is looking production-ready.

The RS6 Avant is Audi’s ultra-fast version of the A6 Avant. The current model is the first one to go on sale in the US, and it delivers massive acceleration from a 621-horsepower 4.0-liter V8.
Audi is also expected to launch an allroad off-road version of the A6 Avant (we’ve spotted it testing already). We’re hoping that both will be part of the launch of the new A6, set for March 4th.
