Three Game-Changing Cars Are Coming From Audi, Toyota, and Volvo

The spring and summer are often when automakers begin showing off their new products launching later in the year. It’s one of the more exciting times to cover the industry because there’s a preview of what’s to come. The latest previews provide glimpses of upcoming vehicles from Audi, Toyota, and Volvo. One is the latest iteration of a venerable wagon, and the other two are new EVs.
The New Audi A6 Avant

Audi will introduce the latest version of the A6 Avant wagon at a global premiere on March 4. We previously thought this would go by the A7 moniker because the brand planned to have separate model names for combustion-powered and electric products. However, the automaker reversed course and decided to stick with the old branding scheme.
The teaser image shows the A6 Avant under the sheet. The full-width taillights are the only thing visible.

A Mysterious Toyota EV

Toyota has an electric vehicle premiering on March 11. Unfortunately, the company is keeping it under wraps. The teaser video only provides brief glimpses of the car, and there’s an accompanying very dark image. The photo shows a vehicle with a sleek roof. It’s unclear from the picture whether the model is a sedan or a compact crossover. The overall design has similarities to the Toyota bZ Compact SUV Concept. The automaker’s teaser describes the machine as “a sleek and stylish coupe design with a spacious comfortable and versatile interior and elevated driving dynamics.”

The Volvo ES90

Finally, Volvo has the ES90 electric sedan coming on March 15. The new flagship four-door is the first offering from the automaker to use the Nvidia Drive AGX Orin system, which can allegedly continuously evolve and improve.
Volvo is holding off announcing ES90 specs until the vehicle’s launch. It rides on the automaker’s SPA2 platform, which is also underneath the existing EX90 electric SUV. Given the shared underpinnings, the two models might share powertrains, including the available 111-kilowatt-hour battery pack.

The Toyota EV is the most intriguing vehicle among this trio because it’s the one we know the least about. The model is likely the newest member of the bZ family of electric models, but everything about the machine is a mystery. Even the teasers don’t tell us much. It’s exciting that Audi has a new A6 Avant. The model has a legacy of combining performance, luxury, and utility, and the latest version should live up to this legacy. While the ES90 doesn’t debut until March 15, we know the most about it. The vehicle is a high-tech electric sedan that may challenge Tesla and Lucid models.
